Birch Tree Cafe in Munising, MI

We had the Greek Salad (or Mediterranean?) when we were in Munising and loved it. I would like to recreate it at home, but can't seem to remember what was in it other than the calamata olives, greens, beets and feta cheese. Would anyone know what other ingredients are in it? We asked about the dressing and it was made from Ranch dressing, olive juice and beet juice for color. It was really tasty, as was all of their food.
If you are reading this to find a good restaurant, I HIGHLY recommendthis one. I wish we had this restaurant here, I would eat there weekly.
Thanks

Proper operation of water pump

I noticed on my new 5th wheel that when I am using the water pump while taking a shower that it surges constantly. In my previous camper I am pretty sure that it did this when running water in the sinks, but ran pretty smoothly while showering. Should't there be enough water running through the pump when showering to keep it running smoothly? I ask this because when it surges, the water flow changes and so does the temperature of the water. The water will cool off like someone is turning off hot water.

RE: michigan UP

I was there just a few weeks ago and stayed at Clementz North Country about 4 mi outside of Newberry toward the falls on Hwy 123. Really nice campground, they have sites with full hookups available, clean facilities and the owners are really nice people. They also have cable for $2 a night. They offer a PA discount for 2 ni, but only on W&E. They are about 20 minutes from the falls. We stayed here 6 nights, but we had a run in with a deer. I would definitely stop here again. Look them up in Trailer Life.

US65 from Des Moines, Iowas to I-70

I am looking to visit the Grandbaby on our way home, he lives in Sedalia, MO on US65. Mapsource is routing me on US-65 from Des Moines, Iowa all the way to Sedalia, MO. I have traveled extensively on US-65 south of Sedalia, thru Arkansas, but never north. How is this route, will I have any problems on this stretch of highway. I would prefer not to use the interstates, they add quite a few miles, we will be coming from Minneapolis.

RE: Disney Dining Plan - Is it Worth the $$

You can use the snacks at the hotel stores for quart of milk (we brought cereal)or large bags of chips or cookies for snacks during the day. My husband and I would sometimes split the over the counter meal for lunch (1/2 baked chicken w/sides, beverage and dessert), which would save one for breakfast the next day. At luch we would get a bottle of water for beverage, saved buying water during the day. The snacks and over the counter meals are pretty flexible. We didn't have any kids with us, so I don't know how that works for kids. We would purchase again, but it can be more food than you can eat at dinner.

RE: Upper Peninsula Michigan Campgrounds?

If you aren't looking to entertain the kids, we are staying at Tiki RV Park in St Ignace. Nice little cg with real friendly staff, clean restrooms. Sites aren't any closer than the state parks, and less crowded. Paid $27 for full hookups. Strait State Park has elec only for $26, they are booked currently, as is all the state parks near the water.

RE: Memphis TN to New Orleans LA

Avoid Hwy 61 in Baton Rouge, it is extremely congested at all times, except Sunday. Take Hwy 84 or Hwy 98 from Natchez to I-55.

RE: Baton Rouge To Branson Mo.

I usually use Hwy 65 thru Arkansas, I tow a 35ft 5th wheel. I drive I-55 to I-20 (but I'm in Amite) and catch Hwy 65 in Tallulah. Look's like you will have to take Hwy 61 to catch Hwy 65. You don't loose much time on these roads, the speed limit is 65, just have towns to slow down in.

Van Buren, OH

I have found a campground in Findlay, OH, Shadylake Campground. I found a write up that says this campground is a favorite spot for Van Buren residents. Anyone out there ever heard of it, has any info? They don't advertise at all and I would like some advance warning about what to expect. No reviews anywhere. Would you recommend, just for two nights, stopping off to see the Hancock County Museum.

Nashville North CG, Goodlettsville

Anyone ever stayed here? Is it still open? I found this CG in my Passport America book and have tried several times to call. They never answer the phone. I don't want to drive there and find out it no longer exists. Can't find any thread on this CG and it isn't in RVparkreviews.
Looking for a place to lay my head for the night.

RE: Memphis TN to New Orleans LA

If you are looking for back roads try Hwy 61, but you will travel through small towns. I-55 is good until you hit the LA-MS state line, then it gets rough.

How to tell if Roto-Flex is working?

We got a Roto-Flex hitch on our new camper as a standard item. How can you tell if it is operating properly? There still seems to be a lot of chucking while towing the camper. Our only comparison is our previous camper, which was considerably smaller and did not have a Roto-Flex. While driving the hitch doesn't seem to flex or move any differently than the hitch. We are just trying to determine if there is an issue that we need to tell the dealer about. Should we be seeing any movement from the Roto-Flex while we towing?

Paula Deen's Buffet at the Harrah's (Grand) Tunica

I see Paula Deen put her name on the buffet at Harrah's (Grand) in Tunica. Anybody had a chance to try this new buffet? Was it worth it or the same ole buffet as before?

RE: Choosing a wireless card in new laptop.

Thanks for info, the upgrade was only $35, what's another $35 more when you are up to $1400. Trying to get all the latest, which will be obsolete in a few months after I receive it.

RE: Cardnial 34 QRL

We recently purchased the Cardinal 31RKLE, and drove it straight to the scales. The pin weight shown in the brochure were within 100 lbs., but we did not add any large options to the front area of the camper (i.e. washer/dryer combo, generator). The axle weights were about 300 lbs higher due to the options we included (thermo pane windows, soft touch ceiling, wood-plank floor). We have found the brochure and the sticker in the camper to be weights on standard items, any options will make a difference.
The Cardinal website will give you positive feedback, they all love their "birds".

Choosing a wireless card in new laptop.

I am currently in the market to purchase a new laptop. I have been trying to get some info concerning the built-in wireless cards. The computer I have been looking at comes with the Dell 1395 Wireless Mini Card (802.11b/g), with the option to upgrade to Intel 4965 Next-Gen Wireless N Mini-Card. I use a Cingular Aircard for internet service, so is there really a need to upgrade? I can't find any current info regarding the differences. I also want the laptop to have wireless/bluetooth capabilities with external devices (camera, printer, etc.) Does this make a difference in my decision?
Thanks
